Rancho San Joaquin Middle School Summer Enrichment Program

By Neal Sharma

The RSM Summer Enrichment Program is a 4-week course providing classes where children can reinforce and learn essential skills in preparation for the upcoming school year and enjoy engaging activities. Each student can choose three classes to attend.

The program’s classes include: Intro to Pre-Algebra, Pre-Algebra, Trans. Algebra, Math Counts, Creative Writing, Poetry, Speech & Debate, Journalism, Language, Archery, Field Sports, Leadership, Digital Photography, Study Skills, Transition into Middle School, Ceramics, and Mechanics of Writing.

Personally, attending the RSM Summer Camp was an educational, yet also enjoyable experience. Enrolled in Archery, Speech and Debate, and Digital Photography, I shot bull’s-eyes to receive food prizes such as hot dogs and chips while honing my archery skills alongside my friend, developed oratory skills by learning the different formats and participating in mock debates, and received excellent advice and techniques on how to take photos professionally.
